Lazador stands with Vex, placing Vex’s arm around his neck. “I can fix him, but not until we’re safely away on that ship. You two take the lead and I’ll follow with Vex.”
Sunspear’s Coterie boarded the Kryat Fang. Before they could find either the bridge or the engineer’s room, Alsahb stumbled into Trex. Rather than fight, however, Alsahb decided to negotiate with the Kryat Fang’s captain. Trex would never have willingly given up his ship, but at that moment the Spaceport Facility’s Guard Patrol entered the Kryat Fang’s hangar. Trex figured he was screwed either way and decided to take his chances with the Guard Patrol, leaving the ship to Sunspear’s Coterie.
Wasting no time, Vex began to install the HMRI, while Lazador fired up the ship and left Mos Shuuta behind. Before they could jump, however, two hexagonal fighters tracked them down. Garen and Alsahb fended off the attack, Vex got the HMRI online, and Lazador made a blind jump across the galaxy, landing somewhere in the Kessel sector.
Shortly after the Kryat Fang’s jump, a strange message appeared through the Holocon. A shadowy figure—knowing both their identities and histories—demanded that they fly to a place in the mid-rim called, “The Wheel.” There they were to find a Twi’lek named Reom and fulfill a task for him. If Sunspear’s Coterie didn’t do this, then the Gray Man would denote a hidden cache of explosives on the Kryat Fang.
After docking at The Wheel, Sunspear’s Coterie split. Garen and Lazador went in search of information about Reom, while Alsahb and Vex went to locate a repair shop for the Kryat Fang. Soon the necessary repairs were negotiated and the group had pinpointed Reom. He was deep within the bowels of The Wheel, president of the black market tech operation, IsoTech.
Upon meeting, Reom was cordial and friendly. He provided Sunspear’s Coterie with the information they would need to complete their mission for the Gray Man. Years ago, a ship, the Sa Nalaor, disappeared somewhere in the Outer Rim. It was rumored that the ship was carrying new tech that would be important for both IsoTech and IsoTech’s employer. Reom wanted Sunspear’s Coterie to locate the ship, find any survivors, and bring the cutting edge tech to Raxus Prime, IsoTech’s secret salvaging base. Before they could leave, however, Sunspear’s Coterie was to wait for Reom’s droid, IT-3PO, a droid of full information on both the Sa Nalaor and the planet it was rumored to have crashed on, Cholganna. They had eight hours to kill before IT-3PO arrived on The Wheel. “In the meantime,” Reom said, “look around, ask questions, and gear up. But keep a low profile. You never know who’s watching.”
True to Reom’s word, as Sunspear’s Coterie exited IsoTech, they found a snitch that had been listening in on their conversation. Pursuit proved futile, however, and Sunspear’s Coterie was soon left with eight empty hours to fill.
Looking around, you see that you are in a crowded space somewhere near the center of The Wheel. You know that there is a lot you need to accomplish in a little time: weaponry, food, clothing, survival gear, and ship repairs. And a little more information on IsoTech, the Gray Man, and Sa Nalaor wouldn’t go amiss either. You ask Vex to pull up a map of The Wheel. He does. You see that it has most anything that you might need.
